Historical

Nineteen ninety-four marked the 150th anniversary of the Great Disappointment of the Millerite movement. The Seventh-day Adventist Church organized and implemented “a broad range fo activities throughout 1994 to educate, edify and inspire church membership and society to a new understanding”1 of its prophetic identity. In connection with these activities, the General Conference 150th Commemoration Committee felt the need for “its members to have access to a high quality and academically credible film documentary about Millerism and its place in American religious history.”2 They appointed Ron Knott to be the director for a major film documentary on William Miller and his times. The resulting product is called, The Midnight Cry! William Miller and the End of the World.
