Biographical

Joseph Harvey Waggoner (1820-1889) was one of the leading pioneer theologians, writers, and editors of the first 25 or so years of the Seventh-day Adventist denomination. He has hundreds of articles, books, and pamphlets to his credit. He served, among other things, as the editor of The Signs of the Times, the churches west coast evangelistic magazine. His son, Ellet J. Waggoner, succeeded him as editor of The Signs.
