Otto Julius Graf was born in 1879, the son of Julius J. And Bertha Graf. He received his B.A. from Union College in 1904 and his M.A. from the University of Nebraska. He served for one year as educational secretary of the Northern Union Conference, and one year as history teacher at Union College. From 1908 to 1917 he was president of Emmanuel Missionary College and exerted upon the college a molding influence. Due to persistent ill-health he retired permanently in 1918. He moved to Loma Linda, California, where he was active in volunteer roles as his health allowed. He died in 1950.
