Biographical

B. O. Engen was born January 31, 1883, in Olmsted County, Minnesota; died July 4, 1963, at La Sierra, California. He was a literature evangelist (colporteur) and later an ordained minister in the Seventh-day Adventist Church. An accident incapacitated him in 1937. Engen was married to Serena, and they had two sons, Willard and Gordon, and a daughter, Evelyn.

Content Description The B. O. Engen Collection consists of three boxes containing some clippings, correspondence on reduction of armament, and sermons. Mostly there are Ellen G. White statements and tracks and pamphlets. Many boxes of books also came with the collection. The non-Adventist books were separated and processed by the James White Library’s Seminary Collection. The remaining books, about half of the total, were processed by the Center for Adventist Research. The books were largely Adventist titles from...
