Price’s teaching career began in New Brunswick in 1897, and in 1903 he became principal of the Farmington Industrial Academy, Nova Scotia. After a period of research work in New York City and Washington, D.C., he taught English at San Fernando Academy until 1913 and chemistry and physics at Lodi Academy from 1914 to 1920. From 1924 to 1928 he did research work in Europe, taught geology at Stanborough College, and was its president for a short time. His next appointment was to Emmanuel Missionary College where he was professor of philosophy and geology from 1929 to 1933. He held the same position at Walla Walla College from 1933 to 1938.

Price retired from the classroom in 1938 to devote his time to writing. He produced 23 books in all–his best known in the field of geology–and contributed numerous articles to various journals. Among his more significant works are God’s Two Books, The New Geology, The Predicament of Evolution, If You Were Creator, Genesis Vindicated, and Common-Sense Geology.
