Biographical
Paul Alfred Gordon was born in 1930 and passed away on June 25, 2009 in Oregon, aged 79. He attended to school at Auburn Academy, Washington, getting his diploma in 1948. After studying at Walla Walla Collage he began his work as a Seventh-day Adventist pastor in Washington state and Oregon and later held the position of a Bible teacher at Milo and Upper Columbia academies. Gordon became part of the Ellen G. White Estate staff where he worked in different positions for more than 30 years. Later in his life, by succeeding Robert Olson, Paul Gordon became the director of the Ellen G. White Estate in 1990. He held this position until his retirement in 1995. In working for the White Estate he traveled to more than 120 countries. He was one of the co-founders of Adventist Heritage Ministry in 1981 and arranged the purchase of the William Miller home in 1984. Gordon authored several books and numerous articles for Adventist periodicals. In addition to that he was the primary compiler of four Ellen G. White devotional books. He also made contributions to various Sabbath School lessons and the Ellen G. White Encyclopedia. His wife Donna
and four children survive him.

This collection, consisting of 14 boxes, is about Ellen White and Seventh-day Adventist Church history. This collection seems to be his life collection of work on behalf of the Ellen G. White Estate with only a few personal items found in the first series, Personal Document. The first part of the collection consists of Gordon’swritings, projects, public speaking, and clippings. In this part one can find manuscripts of some of Gordon’s books and materials he used to research and write them....
