Carl Gustav Tuland, pastor and church administrator, was born on February 6, 1901, in Berlin, Germany. His birth name was K. H. F. Tulaszewski. He began his ministry at age 20 in his home town of Berlin. Here is a summary of his work and locations. In addition to pastoral ministry and church administration, Tuland earned a M.A. degree in Systematic Theology from the Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary in 1951, and a Ph.D. in Semitic Languages, Old Testament and Archaeology at the Oriental Institute of the University of Chicago in 1956.
