Derek Crowther Beardsell was born on July 22, 1934, to Sidney Beardsell and Vera Ball, British missionaries to Tanzania. Beardsell’s ministry brought him to Tanzania, Kenya, Rwanda, and Burundi, Pakistan, Iceland, and Great Britain, serving as pastor, educator, and administrator. He served as principal of Newbold College. Beardsell retired in 1998 after forty-three years of service, passing away on July 24, 2012, at age 78.
