Dr. Norval F. Pease (1910-1995) is noted for serving his Lord as a pastor, author, educator, and administrator. Pease served as a pastor for 15 years in Washington and Massachusetts in the 1930's and 40's. In 1945 he went to the College of Medical Evangelists (now Loma Linda University) to serve as the pastor of the campus church and chair of the religion department. In 1954 Pease became president of La Sierra University.
Later in Dr. Pease’s ministry he taught at the Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary and was a theology professor at La Sierra University (1967-1975). Dr. Pease authored many articles, Sabbath School lessons, and contributed to the SDA Bible Commentary.

The Norval F. Pease Collection consists of material highlighting the ministry of Norval F. Pease, pastor, educator and administrator. A significant portion of this collection is made of personal materials–including diplomas, certificates, teaching awards, and evangelist brochures. The remainder of the collections is comprised of correspondence, a paper Pease wrote early in his ministry, entitled “Shall I Be a Seventh-day Adventist?”, and other materials.
