Pearl Lane Rees was born August 22, 1878 in Indiana. She graduated from the normal course at Union College in 1898. That fall she organized and taught the first Seventh-day Adventist Church school in Denver, Colorado. Following that she held a succession of teaching and secretarial positions culminating as the secretary for the Atlantic Union Conference. In 1917 she became the preceptress (Dean of Women) of South Lancaster Academy, and in the fall of 1921 she became preceptress at Union College in Lincoln, Nebraska, a position she held nearly 25 years. She also held the preceptress position at Atlantic Union College and Glendale Sanitarium. She served the Church for 52 years. Rees died January 11, 1966 in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Content Description The collection consists of one linear foot of plays and stories collected over the years by Pearl Rees. The stories cover many different subjects with a few on religious topics. Most stories are no more than five or six pages. There are several subject specific folders such as Thanksgiving and Christmas.
