Biographical

Clinton W. Lee (1893-1982) was born in Battle Creek, Michigan, on March 3,1893. At the age of fourteen Lee joined the Missionary Volunteer Society of the Battle Creek Tabernacle Seventh-day Adventist Church and decided to devote himself to workfor the Lord. In 1914 he entered denominational work as a ministerial and evangelistic worker. After he served several congregations in Michigan and Arkansas, at the Fall Council of the General Conference in 1919, he was selected as an overseas missionary to Korea. Lee served Korea as an educator and administrator for 27 years (1920-1941,and 1951-1957). After his retirement in 1957 Lee voluntarily served congregations in South Haven and Covert, Michigan, and Korean believers in Hawaii, assisted students at Emmanuel Missionary College who had an interest in foreign missionary work, helped the orphanages in Korea through financial aid, and taught the course on missions in the Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary at Andrews University. He died in Chico, California on August 27, 1982.
