This collection documents aspects of the origin and development of Avondale College and the early history of the Seventh-day Adventist history in Australia. It consists of two parts, three folders each. The first part is mostly correspondence concerning the establishment of Avondale College. The majority of the letters were written by W. C. White to church leaders in Australia and New Zealand. Recipients include O. A. Olsen, W. A. Spicer, A. G. Daniells, J. H. Kellogg, Ellen G. White, and J. E. White. The collection also includes reports and minutes sent to the General Conference. A few letters were written by Ellen G. White and are part of her letter and manuscript collection. The second part, arranged in 1955 by ????, focuses on the early history of the Adventist church in Australia. The materials were put together by Elder W. J. Gilson. It consists of committee minutes, reports by church leaders such as J. O. Corliss, S. N. Haskell, and appeals and letters by Ellen G. White.
