Drury Webster (D. W.) Reavis was born July 30, 1853, at Leesville, Mo., and died March 28, 1939, at Takoma Park, Maryland. His wife is Evelyn Gertrude Reavis. D. W. Reavis is best known as a promoter of religious liberty and as a circulation manager for Seventh-day Adventist magazines. He worked against Sunday laws in the 1890s, and in 1901 joined the Review and Herald Publishing Association where he remained until his retirement in 1933. At the Review and Herald he served as the manager of the Circulation Department promoting the circulation of magazines.
This collection consists of diaries and some family items, such as letters, a book of addresses, small books of account, and Evelyn Reavis’ photographs.
