Writings by Marsh
Sub-Series
Identifier: III
Content Description
From the Collection:
The papers are primarily manuscripts and articles that Marsh wrote. They also include biographical material on the Marsh family, some writings by others that Marsh collected, and some correspondence. The correspondence is notable for who he corresponded with. The most notable is an exchange of letters with evolutionist, Theodosius Dobzhansky. Dobzhansky felt he could discredit Marsh’s creationist view and change Marsh’s mind. After several letters Dobzhansky gave up and stopped the dialog. Also included are some letters to, from, and about creationist colleague, George McCready Price.
