This collection contains mostly E. E. Cleveland’s manuscripts, handwritten sermon notes, audio-visual sermon materials, and numerous framed awards and certificates Cleveland received from various entities including the U. S. Government, Matin Luther King Legacy Association, the Seventh-day Adventist Church, etc.

Also included in the donation were over 200 books from Cleveland’s personal library. Some of them include notations inside the front cover to pages of the book which Cleveland may have wanted to use in sermons or writings. For example, in Past, Present, and Future (BX 6153 .W45 1914 copy 3) Cleveland has a sermon title, “The Big Picture,” followed by p. 115. Evidently Cleveland used a reference on page 115 of this book in his sermon of this title. To find the complete list of books from the Cleveland library do a library catalog title search for “E. E. One feature of this collection is the large quantity of Cleveland’s framed awards, certificates and correspondences which dictates the arrangement of this collection to be divided into two major parts: part I, non-framed materials; part II, framed materials.
