Edward Heppenstall Papers

 Collection
Identifier:  Collection 190

Content Description

The Edward Heppenstall Papers cover a wide range of topics reflective of the teaching and study interests of the man. Some of the larger topic areas include: atonement, Daniel, righteousness, salvation, sanctuary, law, philosophy, preaching, and Revelation. The material includes correspondence, lecture notes, class materials, clippings, and other such types of records. While the amount of correspondence is somewhat disappointing, there are still files of correspondence with Desmond Ford, Louis Venden, George D. Keough, Robert Brinsmead, and J. S. Washburn, plus many letters in less significant amounts.

Arrangement

The collection has two parts. The first, consisting of two boxes, is more personal in nature. The second part, consisting of 89 boxes, is topical in arrangement. The arrangement is alphabetical. The papers were not in any order when they arrived at the archives. In processing, like titles were put together. Through combining similar folder titles we eliminated many repetitive folders. Very little rearranging of folder contents took place.

There are many folders for some of the topic areas. These have a subheading to differentiate them from others of the same general topic. This is clearly seen on the following inventory pages.
