The Seventh-day Adventist Encyclopedia, first published in 1966, is an invaluable source of information on the history and peoples of Seventh-day Adventism. It has gone through several revisions through the years. The first compilation was undoubtedly a difficult task as the editors asked scores of individuals to author the many entries for the Encyclopedia. In such a process the quality of the work received back from the various authors must have been uneven in quality and required considerable work on the part of the editors to standardize the presentation.
