Biographical

Milian Lauritz Andreasen (1876-1962) was an administrator, educator, and author. He held administrative positions as president of the Greater New York Conference (1909-1910), Hutchinson Theological Seminary (1910-1918), Minnesota Conference (1924-1931), and Union College (1931-1938). From 1938 to 1949, he taught at the Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary in Washington, D.C. His special area of interest was the doctrine of the sanctuary and was considered one of the foremost authority in that field. From 1956 until the time of his death in 1962, he was at odds with the church leadership over the contents of the book,
