The collection consists entirely of correspondence between Church administrators and other leaders between 1888 and 1905. Included are large amounts of letters to or from Arthur G. Daniells, William C. White, G. A. Irwin, and O. A. Olsen, among others.

Barry D. Oliver donated the collection to the Andrews University Adventist Heritage Center due to his arrangement with the General Conference Archives and with his professor, George Knight. The donation occurred in 1989/1990.
