Content Description
From the Collection:
This collection, consisting of 14 boxes, is about Ellen White and Seventh-day Adventist Church history. This collection seems to be his life collection of work on behalf of the Ellen G. White Estate with only a few personal items found in the first series, Personal Document. The first part of the collection consists of Gordon’swritings, projects, public speaking, and clippings. In this part one can find manuscripts of some of Gordon’s books and materials he used to research and write them. There are a lot of periodical issues included where articles of his have been published. The section “Projects” contains works on Ellen White and the pioneers. “Public Speaking” contains notes and other materials from his different speaking occasions with an emphasis on preaching and presenting about Ellen White and related topics. In this part occasionally scholarly papers are included which have been listed.
The biggest part of the collection is the ABC paper collection and the topical material collection. These are a collection of materials, papers and notes regarding all kinds of issues and individual related to Ellen White. This was most likely Gordon’s reference source about these various issues and people. Gordon himself wrote lots of unpublished papers which can be found throughout this part of the collection.
At the end of the collection there are folders on items Gordon used for display purposes when he talked about Adventist history and Ellen White.
