The Raymond S. Moore Collection consists of two parts: Materials dealing with inter-institutional cooperation in higher education and materials dealing with a book on early childhood education – Better Late than Early. These materials belonged to Dr. Moore personally and include his research resources and several editions of his book manuscripts.

Part one of this collection includes a group of documents written by other authors. These documents represent a series of materials Moore used in his research on interinstitutional cooperatives.

The collection does not contain any significant biographical information on Dr. Moore.

Arrangement

The Moore collection is divided into two parts. The first section deals with interinstitutional cooperatives in higher education. The second section deals with Dr. Moore’s research in early childhood education. The collection is mainly arranged in a chronological order, with Moore’s earliest works appearing first. The series of writings by other authors are arranged alphabetically by the author’s last name.

This arrangement reflects the basic original order of the collection. However, some rearrangement of the writings by other authors and correspondence was necessary to facilitate ease of use for the researcher.
