David Lin Papers

 Collection
Identifier:  Collection 246

Content Description

This collection contains David Lin’s writings and a few letters. It also includes unpublished articles regarding traditional Adventist interpretations on biblical passages and pre-baptismal Bible study materials. There are also writings by Lin about Adventism in China and other places from his personal perspective.

David Lin’s theology and attitudes have shaped at least three generations of Adventist Church members in China since the Chinese Communist Party took over the government in 1949. The strengths and weaknesses of late 20th and early 21st century Chinese Adventism can, in some part, be attributable to David Lin’s influence. This collection is significant for those who are interested in Chinese Adventist studies.
