Content Description This collection consists of Chalmers’ sermon notes on various topics, a compilation of Bible and Spirit of Prophecy quotations arranged by topic, and the memoirs of a certain Elmer A. Johnson, whose connection with Chalmers is not known.

Content Description The Ethel Young Collection was given to the Heritage Room in the James White Library, Andrews University in 1975 by Ethel Young. They contain correspondence, pictures, and copies of articles dealing with the stories in Seventh-day Adventist basic reader series and with Adventist pioneers in Bucks Bridge, New York.

Content Description J. Lloyd Holbert (d. 1998) was for many years (1950s to 1990s) the recording technician at Sligo Seventh-day Adventist Church in Takoma Park, Maryland, on the campus of Columbia Union College. By virtue of its location near the Church world headquarters and as one of the largest Adventist churches in the world, Sligo was a destination for a virtual who’s who of Adventist speakers. Content Description The collection includes correspondence dating from the 1940s to 1975, many sermons, syllabi and class notes, evangelistic material including sermons and radio scripts, and topical files and clippings. It is a wide ranging collection with the heart being evangelism and teaching others how to do it.
