Content Description This collection consists solely of seven folders of poems composed primarily by Gafford, but includes one folder of manuscripts by others. There are two folders related to Gafford’s poetry and a poetry publication.

Content Description The bulk of this collection centers around Burton Phipps’ 32-year tenure as a teacher and later head of the Emmanuel Missionary College (now Andrews University) Biology department. During this time Barbara graduated from Emmanuel Missionary College, taught for a few years, and then returned where she became a librarian in the College library.
