The Frederick Griggs Papers: Arnold C. Reye Collection contains Frederick Griggs’ correspondence from 1892 to 1949, and several other documents regarding his life and work. This collection is a significant portion of the material Reye collected during his dissertation research. His dissertation is entitled, Frederick Griggs: Seventh-day Adventist Educator and Administrator. Besides Griggs’ correspondence we find in the collection: Blanche Griggs’ diaries from 1916 to 1923 (incomplete); the manuscript “Frederick Griggs, Man of Vision, Molder of Lives” by M. C. Kuhn; “A report on F. Griggs’ Educational Theory,” by Arnold C. Reye; Memorials on F. Griggs from several individuals (Reye’s correspondence); and other documents related to him.

Arnold C. Reye, in an agreement between his dissertation chair, George Knight, and the General Conference Archives, donated this collection to the Andrews University Heritage Room in the James White Library, in January 27, 1984.
