Content Description The Avery Family papers collection contains correspondence, diaries, financial records, student papers, teaching plans, poetry, books, miscellaneous items, and his herbarium. With the agreement of the donor, the collection of dried plants (contained in three volumes) was placed in the working herbarium of the Biology Department of Andrews University for preservation.

Content Description The present collection contains: a) legal documents related to Battle Creek and its properties; b) minutes of the Board of Trustees and some major actions taken; c) financial documentation related to the Sanitarium and Dr. Kellogg; d) correspondence primarily related to the court events; e) court documents; f) materials describing the work done in the different departments of the Sanitarium; and g) miscellaneous materials related to the Sanitarium and its history.

Content Description This collection consists primarily of correspondence of Christian Edwardson, (1873-1944) along with some documents related to the history of Seventh-day Adventist work among the Danish and Norwegian people of Minnesota and Wisconsin around the 1920s. A second part of the collection consists of portions of financial records for several churches in Minnesota and Wisconsin.
